Methodology

A structured, evidence-led way to test a strategy.

From strategy document to decision-ready diagnosis.

StratChecks independently tests your strategy, challenges the assumptions behind it and assesses whether your organisation is ready to execute.

Five stages

Score → Challenge → Validate → Decide → Act

  1. 01

    Score

Assess the strategy against a structured diagnostic framework.

  2. 02

    Challenge

Identify gaps, contradictions and weak strategic choices.

  3. 03

    Validate

Surface and test the assumptions on which success depends.

  4. 04

    Decide

Identify the decisions leadership needs to make.

  5. 05

    Act

Prioritise what should happen Now, Next and Later.

The framework

10 dimensions. 50 diagnostic tests. One independent view.

The 50 diagnostic tests behind these dimensions are proprietary and are not published. Each is scored against defined anchors and moderated by the strength of the evidence available.

Evidence principle

If we can't evidence the finding, we don't make the finding.

Every score and every finding is tied to something in your material or to independent research. Where the evidence isn't there, we mark the item as not evidenced rather than filling the gap with assertion.

Assessment Confidence tells you how much of the diagnostic rests on solid evidence, so you know how much weight to place on it.

Human quality assurance sits over the whole assessment. AI accelerates the analysis; it does not make unsupported judgements.

Assumption Confidence

What is your strategy betting on?

We identify the material assumptions your strategy depends on, assess the evidence supporting them and highlight what happens if they are wrong.

StratGap

A good strategy doesn't mean you're ready to execute it.

StratGap identifies where the ambition and quality of your strategy exceeds your organisation's current ability to deliver it.
